Biography

Joy-Denise Moore has performed in Operas around the Country, has given Recitals and performed in many Concerts in and around the Chicagoland Area. Ms. Moore has a Bachelor of Music from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Music Degree from the University of Oklahoma both in Vocal Performance. While at Oklahoma, she received the Thomas and Carol Carey Award, presented, annually, to an African-American Student, who excelled in the field of vocal music. Ms. Moore attended the prestigious American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and was selected to sing for world renowned Mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. She is a student of Karen Brunssen and coached by Richard Boldrey and Dr. Edna Williams. Ms. Moore has five years of teaching experience. Ms. Moore is also proficient in singing Italian, French, and German.
